Jeff Hogan is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 20 years experience in various aspects of the healthcare industry including extensive experience managing the marketing and servicing of thousands of group medical plans in 8 states through hundreds of agents, brokers and insurance consultants.
Jeff is currently the New England Regional Manager for Rogers Benefit Group, Inc., a Minneapolis-based, privately held insurance marketing and benefits consulting firm. RBG was established in 1947, operates 71 offices nationally and handles roughly 2.5 billion dollars in annual benefits premium. He manages a regional office in Farmington, CT which services the New England, New York and New Jersey marketplace. He has been with RBG for over 20 years.
Jeff’s specialty lies in designing consumer driven and value based plan designs for middle market companies. He has consulted for PHO’s and insurance carriers regarding these strategies around the country. Jeff has lectured on advanced CDC implementation techniques and the technical architecture of CDC products. He has provided expert witness services on health insurance issues and strategies. Jeff focuses on topics involving health policy, healthcare analytics and healthcare financing.
Additionally, Jeff has strong analytical healthcare policy experience and concentration working with large, organized healthcare provider groups, national health plans and national healthcare analysts concentrating on care coordination models, healthcare analytic tools and value based plan design strategies focused on healthcare cost and quality.
As the sole member of ConsumerConsult, LLC, an employee benefit related consulting company, Jeff’s scope of experience is quite broad, including:
- Provide expert witness testimony on issues associated with the placement and servicing of self funded stop loss arrangements
- Provided academic White Paper authorship related to the operation of the alternative risk marketplace for medical malpractice insurance (2004-2005)
- Provided consultative services to National Health Plan on consumer directed health plan strategy and implementation (2004-Present)
- Provided consultative services to Connecticut Physician’s Health Organization on the development of an alternative risk product showcasing their provider portal (2004)
- Provided consultative services to National Health Plan on the selection of MGUs distributing stop loss and the implementation of best practices via third party administrators (2005)
